Abstract

On the basis of the reciprocal relationship of the two integral wheels of man and woman, Islam has laid the cornerstone and lifted the edifice of a solid and permanent social conduct of life. The family in Islam is built on strong foundations that can provide rational continuity, true protection, and mature intimacy. Marriage is a part of life, both in the family and in society. Marriage is a religious obligation, a legal shield, and a social responsibility for Muslims. Marriage is the first and most important righteous act in Islam, as well as an act of responsible commitment. Marriage's divine virtue, social necessity and spiritual benefits were all accepted by Islam.

 Nikah is a social organization that provides women with a specified and dignified status. Islam's messenger ushered in societal change. Without granting equal status to women, no social reforms were necessary. The aim of this article is to discuss the marriage institution in an Islamic context. framework, as well as its role and significance in today's global human society.
