Abstract

This study concentrates mainly on the rich literature of Arabic language produced by the scholars of Sub-continent. As we find in this region a large no of well- known personalities who had provided a great contribution in Quran, Hadith, fiqah, poetry, prose and other branches of Arabic language and literature. Furthermore the Arabic language has increased the honor and glory of the Sub-Continent. We find the start of Quran commentaries here in 270 A.H. So the production of religious work particularly translations of the Holy Quran in this region, in certainly the pride of Arabic literature in this region. As Ala al- Din Mahaimi is popularly known writer and his Tafseer has prominent place among religion work of sub- continent.
