Abstract

The purpose of this study is to shed light on the position and duties of the head of the family within the Islamic family structure. In order to determine the status of the head of the family, an analytical examination of the most recent domestic violence legislation has also been conducted for this research work. Males have been granted head authority by Allah to maintain the stability of the family unit. It attempts to explain the biases and causes of this male headship and associated duties in the Islamic family structure. Male and female were given different physical and natural characteristics by Allah. Males are responsible for taking care of the family's finances, as well as the parenting, education, and training of the children. Males are permitted to take some strict action against their wives and children to discipline them if they do not obey and cooperate with the head of the family. Males today abuse their position of power by abusing women, beating them, as a result, the prevalence of domestic violence is rising steadily. In Pakistan legislation has been made to stop domestic abuse.in Pakistani society it is believed that men are the ones who commit acts of violence against women. Changes to men's standing and power, that will upend families and foster disorder, have recently been attempted to be legislated. The goal of this research study is to offer a male perspective and obligations-based critical analysis of Pakistan's domestic violence legislation.
